An aspiring actress hits her breaking point trying to keep up with industry expectations.
Written and Directed by Chris Newhard, Self Tape is a love letter to the actors making a real effort to book work in a remote online world. Starring Robbie Jean, Alexa Albanese and Larissa Kitenko, the film showcases the powerhouse of emotions that Jesse, an aspiring actress, goes through as she is forced to audition through self taped auditions. Based on real life experience, the film makes you laugh, cry, and grip your seat with anxiety.
Self Tape was shot in the spring of 2023. It screened across the USA in film festivals throughout 2018, and was officially released digitally on September 1, 2019.
