GERMAIN-ROBIN BRANDY IS ONE OF A KIND
For those unaware, Germain-Robin is a brandy company routed in the mountains of Mendocino County, CA. The distillery was founded in 1982, when Ansley Coale picked up a French hitchhiker named Hubert Germain-Robin and decided the two would partner up to create the world finest cognac.
They're a small operation, creating handmade cognac with the finest of ingrediants which leaves behind a legacy of hard work, fantastic taste and excellence. In 2017, GR was acquired by E & J Gallo, who was interested in continuing their brand and cognac lines, while allowing large scale distribution for the handmade brandy company. Booklight Creative was brought on to create their legacy film, a documentary to tell the whole story and process of creation for them, as well as smaller social media cuts for promotion.
The film shoot took a week and remains one of the most compelling start-up stories BC has ever been apart of. The final film will be released in time as the acquisition takes place and their new rebrand launches. For now, here are some still frames from the film.
